St. John Bosco will host a bicentenary symphony concert, 8 p.m., Jan. 30 at Saint Dominic Savio Church, 13400 Bellflower Blvd., Bellflower.
The concert will be conducted by Dean Anderson and will feature harpist Lucas Cantor.
The concert commemorates the 200th anniversary of the birth of St. John Bosco, a 19th century Italian priest who dedicated his life to improving the lives of disadvantaged youth. In honor of this commemoration, the orchestra will perform three hymns in tribute to the saint.
