As part of its ongoing outreach to involve itself in, and welcome, the community at large, St. John's Seminary schedules events throughout the year, both social and informational, both on and off its Camarillo campus. Following is a sampling of events coming up in 2014-15.

Upcoming Events

—Seventh Annual Distinguished Alumni Dinner, Sept. 28, 4:30 p.m. Vespers, 6 p.m. dinner. 

—Red Mass for the Legal Community, St. John's Seminary Chapel, Oct. 7.

—75th Anniversary of the Dedication of the Chapel, Mass & Reception, Oct. 8.

—“Faith in Our Culture,” a Forum with Catholic Film/TV Leaders, American Film Institute, Hollywood, Oct. 16, 6-8 p.m.

Ongoing and Annual Events

—“Life is Changed, Not Ended,” information forums on estate and end of life planning for Catholics.

—“Wine & Wisdom,” spiritual journeys from St. John's to Santa Ynez, group and family tours.

—The Father Newman C. Eberhardt Lecture in the fall and the Father Charles Miller “Spring Symposium.”

—The spring “Open House,” with the seminary open to the public and tours led by seminarians and staff.

—In commemoration of its 75 years, St. John’s has embarked on a “75 x 75 Celebration Campaign for St. John's Seminary,” to encourage donations or gifts of $75, $750, $7,500 or more.

Additionally, St. John’s is planning the release of "I Will Give You Shepherds," a book on St. John's Seminary written by New York Times bestselling author Joe Garner.
