On May 9, Santacruzan, a celebration honoring the Blessed Virgin, will take place at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. The ceremony will begin at 2:45 p.m. with a public procession in honor of the Blessed Mother. The event will mark the 11th Archdiocesan Filipino Marian celebration.

The historic celebration is a colorful, cultural tradition introduced after the finding of the Holy Cross by Queen Helena. This year’s theme will be "Holy Mary, Queen and Mother of Mercy."

Mass will be held after the Marian procession, with Most Rev Mylo Hubert C. Vergara, D. D. presiding. The recitation of the Rosary and the crowning of the Blessed Mother of Antipolo will conclude the day’s events.

Ministers from the parishes of Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel and San Pedro are expected to attend.

The church is located at 555 W Temple St, Los Angeles, CA. For more information please visit www.filipinoministry.org or call the parish offices at (213) 680-5200.
