On March 10, Louisville High School in Woodland Hills earned four medals at the Le Grand Concours 2016, an annual national French competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French.

Student participants from across the nation undergo a one-hour challenge that corresponds to their French language level in school.

Junior Tatiana Hage won the much-coveted gold medal in level 3 as she showcased her acuity and strength in reading comprehension, grammar and listening. Sophomore Ainslie Irvin won a silver medal in level 3, a category mostly comprised of juniors. Two sophomores, Bella Ha and Kateri Son, won silver medals in level 2.

The students and their teacher, Molly LaBarge, attended the awards ceremony in Pasadena on May 21.
