This year’s Mass theme is “Rooted in Christ: Firm in the Faith.” Coordinated by the Office of Ethnic Ministry, the Mass is open to all who are encouraged to attend in cultural attire representing their heritage. The 3 p.m. procession through downtown Los Angeles to the Cathedral commemorates the founding of El Pueblo de Nuestra Se√±ora de Los Angeles in September 1781. The procession is scheduled to arrive at the Cathedral at 4 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 4:30, Mass at 5:30 and reception in Plaza at 6:45.
