On Sept. 9, the Holy Face of Manoppello, a cloth imprinted with the face of Christ, is coming to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

Many believe the cloth to be the veil Veronica used to wipe the face of Christ during his passion. Others believe it to be the “resurrection cloth,” which covered Christ’s face in the tomb, Catholic News Agency reports.

The Veil of the Holy Face of Jesus will be presented during a 12:10 p.m. Mass. Veneration of the veil is open to the public at the Cathedral beginning at 9 a.m.  and continuing until 5 p.m.
