The Family Federal Credit Union will host a free workshop for community members looking to make financially wise decisions on purchasing, maintaining or refinancing a car.

The class will go over the many components of buying and maintaining a car, including understanding price range, saving money on insurance and car parts and refinancing already owned vehicles with a lower interest rate or payment amount.

The workshop will cover all the material in a one-day class, which will be offered in both English and Spanish throughout July. Spanish classes will be held on July 17 at 5:30 p.m. and July 25 at 10 a.m., and English classes will be held on July 18 at 10 a.m. and July 24 at 5:30 p.m.

Father Luis Valbuena, OMI, started Family Federal Credit Union to help the community become financially self-sufficient. The union offers basic financial services to parishioners and community members.

The classes will be held at the Family Federal Credit Union office, 1000 N Avalon Blvd., Wilmington. To RSVP for the class, please call (310) 835-6132.
