The giving of Tzedakah (charity) is a fundamental mitzvah (good deed) in Jewish life, and no Jewish home is complete without a Tzedakah Box. There are many to choose from to beautify the performance of this important Mitzvah, but the best ones are homemade.

Just prior to the end of school and the beginning of summer break, students from Holy Name of Jesus School in Los Angeles visited the Skirball Center in Brentwood, which has established itself as one of the world’s most dynamic Jewish cultural institutions, and among the leading cultural venues in Los Angeles.

Thanks to Specialty Family Foundation and the Skirball Cultural Center, Holy Name students were able to attend for free and participate in the making of hand-made Tzedakah Boxes.
