A “Beginning Experience” Weekend will be held at the Holy Spirit Retreat Center in Encino for those who have experienced the loss of a spouse through death or divorce/separation. Many people who have suffered this loss feel left out by their church, uneasy around married friends and unsure of themselves and their futures.
The structure of this weekend program focuses on coming to terms with this loss and beginning to move forward in one’s new life. The program helps deal with the natural grief process and offers an opportunity, through God, of turning the pain of loss into an experience of positive growth. Beginning Experience is recognized by the Office of Family Life for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
