The Salesian High School boys and Bishop Amat girls cross country teams each earned top five placings in the CIF State Cross Country Championships held Nov. 30 at Woodward Park, Fresno.Salesian’s team placed third in the Division IV boys’ event, led by junior Tomas Navarro who was seventh. Other members included Saulo Barronco, Anthony Partida, Benjamin Banuelos, Salvador Garcia, Nathan Guzman and Luis Leon. Senior Ruben Dominguez of Don Bosco Tech was second.Bishop Amat was fourth in the Division III girls’ race, led by junior Emily Hubert who placed tenth. Other members included Ashley Garnica, Ally Palomino, Samantha Cabrera, GiGi Munoz and Pamela Tenorio.In Division IV girls, La Reina of Thousand Oaks was seventh, while Loyola of Los Angeles was fifth in Division I boys.
