St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Nebraska held the funeral service for the two-year-old boy killed in an alligator attack in Florida’s Disney World.
Lane Thomas Graves’s parents, Matt and Melissa, said in a statement published on the church website, “[We] are overwhelmed with the support and love we have received from family and friends in our community as well as from around the country.”
The heartbroken parents have established the Lane Thomas Foundation in the little boy’s memory, which will benefit Omaha’s local charities. They said in a statement, “Losing Lane has broken our hearts in the worst possible way. While there is no way to mend our hearts, we can do good work in his honor.”
