Bob Hurd, one of the Church’s most popular liturgical composers for more than three decades, will perform in concert at several parishes over the next month.

On Sept. 12 (7:30 p.m. at St. Rita, Sierra Madre) and Sept. 13 (7 p.m. at St. John Fisher, Rancho Palos Verdes), Hurd and his group Anawim will perform “An Evening of Song & Prayer,” to support St. Camillus Pastoral Care Center in Boyle Heights. On Sept. 19 (7 p.m.), Hurd will perform a bilingual concert with longtime colleague Dominic MacAller and St. Anthony parish musicians and singers at St. Anthony Church, 2511 S. C St., Oxnard. Tickets are $10 or $40 for a family of five of more.

On Sept. 20 (9 a.m.-4 p.m.), he will present “A Day of Reflection: The Word Is in Your Heart,” at St. Anthony’s Msgr. Condon Center. Tickets are $15 (includes lunch); a $5 discount is available with concert ticket. Information: Daniel Delgado, (805) 469-6293.
